The Omaha Warehouse – The Gateway to the West
Smack in the middle of the Nebraska prairie, Omaha may seem unassuming at first. But, this bustling city is a hub of innovation and industry. It consistently ranks among the top cities for job opportunities, family-friendly amenities, unique cultural experiences, and quality of life.
How is warehouse classified?
Omaha has long been a major transportation hub, and its early success as a Nebraska warehouse district helped establish it as the “Gateway to the West.” Its rich history of banking and finance is evident today. Warren Buffett, known as the Wizard of Omaha, heads his Fortune 500 company, Berkshire Hathaway, out of the city. Several other Fortune 1000 companies, such as Mutual of Omaha, TD Ameritrade, and Woodmen of the World, also call Omaha home.
The city is also famous for its food. It was here that the Reuben sandwich was invented, as well as Butter Brickle ice cream (which combines buttery toffee pieces with vanilla ice cream). Plus, if you’re a fan of Raisin Bran cereal, you can thank the residents of Omaha.
